Join Linda Reffert on Monday evenings in June to explore the book Half Truths by Adam Hamilton. The book explores phrases we think come from the Bible, but actually do not. They capture some element of truth, yet they miss the point in important ways. This study will help us search for the whole truth by comparing common Christian clichés with the wisdom found in Scripture.
The clichés include:
Everything happens for a reason.
God helps those who help themselves.
God won’t give you more than you can handle.
God said it, I believe it, that settles it.
Love the sinner, hate the sin.
Each class is a stand-alone class, so no worries if you can’t be at every class. Cost is $10. Please register by Friday, May 22. Childcare is available if you register in advance.
