Mission

A place to serve...

The Mission Committee exists to create opportunities for the congregation to develop a passion for serving God by helping others. We try to continually ask ourselves, “What have we done to be intentional about mission at Hope lately? Who have we encouraged that has a passion for mission? How have we assisted Hope members with a passion for mission to grow?”

As a committee, we strive to be intentional about our mission work. In order to live out Hope’s mission of Loving God, Loving Others, we continue to look for needs both within and outside the Millard area and attempt to serve those unmet needs.

We also look to identify those in our congregation who show a passion for mission, explore that passion and assist to get the resources needed to make that mission flourish (volunteers, leaders, funding, equipment, facilities, etc).

We are always looking to build diversity in the Hope mission team and always welcome new members!

Hope Garage Sale

Each year, the Mission Committee organizes and hosts a community garage sale. Donations of gently used and pre-loved items are collected from our congregation and others and the sale is opened to all. The funds raised from this event have been used to support vacation Bible school, youth mission trips, our food backpack program, and many other mission projects. In 2022, the garage sale raised over $6,700!
