Hello Hopefuls!
I am reflecting on a wonderful week in the life of our church last week. . . 5 baptisms, a wonderful confirmation celebration, an awesome outdoor movie night event. . . I loved all the energy and excitement around these moments.
To be a part of helping kids take the next step in their faith journey is a true honor for me. Seeing the confirmation kids complete their class and be welcomed into our congregation as members is an important moment in their lives. I am glad we get to share that together. We had folks from our neighborhood come up for the movie night because they saw and heard the activity and enjoy their time with us. That is outreach! Thank you for being a part of these!
All this reminds me that God is working. The Spirit is moving in different ways through the ministry of Hope and I love being a part of that with you! I am hopeful that as we talked about servanthood last Sunday that you are encouraged to think about where you might be called to serve. We want to steward well the gifts we have been given by God for the kingdom. And by putting our gifts to use, we are participating in that movement of the Spirit among us.
Don’t bury your bags of gold in the ground as the one servant did in Jesus’ parable from Matthew 25. To effectively continue the ministry of our church and to continue to position ourselves to serve even more people, we need all of us to set our hands to the plow and serve. Talk to me or to our elders about how and where you could serve here at Hope! Visit our website here to learn about our ministry teams:
It is my honor to serve alongside you and I can’t wait to see what God will do next in our midst! Bless you and see you soon!
