Hope for Healing
On Saturday, June 20, 2026, come learn more about behavioral health care - and the hope that comes with asking for help. The morning will also feature other speakers, information tables from leading providers of mental health care in Omaha, as well as lunch and coffee treats! Conference Agenda
8:30 am – Doors open. Visit information tables hosted by local organizations.
9:00 am – Keynote speaker. Kyler Erickson will talk about his journey of recovery from PTSD following the 2011 Millard South High School shooting. Kyler was a high school senior at the time of the incident, and has gone on to become an outstanding basketball player, ESPN analyst, professional speaker, and Director of Suicide Prevention, a nonprofit organization.
10:00 am – Break. Enjoy the coffee bar from Joe on the Go and visit the information tables.
10:30 am – Panel Discussion: What happens when you ask for help? Get answers to your questions, including: what happens in a therapy session? What happens in a support group meeting? What happens if I call 911 or go to the emergency room? Hear from a variety of professionals about what to expect when you seek help for yourself or a loved one.
11:30 am – Lunch. Enjoy free lunch from Olive Garden!

The Nebraska Family Helpline at (888) 866-8660 can connect families to a wide variety of resources, including behavioral health. They provide a single contact point 24 hours a day, seven days a week and can make recommendations or referrals to appropriate resources, including emergency resources.
