Experience the wonder of God’s creation in a whole new way! Through powerful telescopes, you’ll discover the beauty and majesty of the cosmos. An astronomer with the Omaha Astronomical Society will help us to reflect on God’s handiwork.
The location will be the Carol Joy Holling Camp near Ashland. We’ll meet up at 6:15 pm in the parking lot of the Carol Joy Holling Offices (27416 Ranch Rd, Ashland, NE 68003; using that address, your GPS will take you directly to that parking lot). From there, we will stop by the restrooms and then head up to Inspiration Point, the highest hill there. Sunset is at 6:41 pm. While the skies darken, we’ll have a campfire, snacks, and a special presentation.
Dress warmly and bring a blanket (or two!). Inspiration Point does not have a paved parking lot; expect to walk across gravel and grass to get to our campfire ring.
If you would like to carpool, please register below and plan to meet at Hope at 5:30 pm. The drive from Hope is about 35 minutes.
For questions, please contact the elder for Adult Faith Formation at Adult@hpcomaha.org or call the church office at 402-895-4044.
