Each November the Communications Committee tries to focus on 30 Days of Gratitude. We do this by posting scriptures or quotes that hopefully remind you to take a moment to practice gratitude during a busy time of year. This year, we’re doing something a little different. We are actively encouraging you to participate in an activity for 7 days. These are simple things you can do every day within a matter of a few minutes and without cost. As we begin to prepare for the holiday season, let’s take time each day to be in an attitude of gratitude!
Week 3 – Connection
People who work in service of others don’t always get the recognition they deserve. Store clerks, baristas, office support staff, nurses, and many other professions are often thankless jobs. While we may utter a quick thanks after we get our coffee, when is the last time you actually connected with a server? This week we encourage you to connect with service workers. Look them in the eye while thanking them. Give a genuine smile and tell them you are thankful for their service.
